Ensuring Reliability in Automations: Tips to Prevent Breakdowns

hey I noticed that sometimes automations just suddenly stop working (in the middle of the night without any changes applied to them) like one step of the chain breaks and it stops the entire flow. Is there any way to prevent it from happening? I'm concerned about reliability, any way to ensure that once it's working - it won't break?
