Email Routing and Task Creation Workflow in Lindy: Need Help with Folders
I’m setting up a full email routing + task creation workflow in Lindy for my Outlook account. The logic itself is solid (projects, subcategories, automatic task creation, daily digest, etc.), but I’m hitting a snag with folder targeting. Specifically:
My project folders are nested under Inbox in Outlook.
In the “Move Email to Folder” action, the folder picker only shows root-level folders (Inbox, Sent, Drafts, etc.), but not the subfolders inside Inbox.
I already moved “Projects” out to the root, but individual subfolders (e.g., Projects/Bolles Baseball Complex/Submittals) still don’t appear in the dropdown.
From what I can tell, this is either a limitation of how the Microsoft Graph API exposes folders, or a sync/refresh quirk. I imagine this has come up before — feels like one of those “known gotchas.” ✅ Workflow itself is working great (classification + task creation). ❌ Just need the right way to map to nested folders without having to flatten my entire Outlook. Any advice? Workarounds? Or is this something already on the roadmap? Appreciate any guidance — just trying to keep it clean and efficient without burning credits on workarounds.
