Hi everyone! I am evaluating Lindy as an alternative to the custom n8n RAG chatbots we are currently running for our clients, and I have some questions: 1. When a Google Drive folder is connected to a Knowledge Base, does that automatically sync all files recursively within the SUBFOLDERS of that folder as well? 2. How often do connected Google Drive folders in a Knowledge Base automatically sync? 3. If files are DELETED from within a synced folder, do they automatically get removed from the Knowledge Base? Thank you for your help 🙏
For instance, I have set up a Knowledge Base on a simple chatbot Lindy with several Google Drive Folders syncing. So far (about an hour later, mind you) about 83 files are synced out of ~250, and the other folders are shown as "syncing". However, my chatbot still says it can only see the single file that I first synced before adding the folders. When does this knowledge become available to the bot?
I'm only replying because I also would like to see this answer :)

Yes - all sub-folders within the knowledge base will be synced!
The Knowledge Base automatically refreshes every 24 hours to ensure your content stays up-to-date. However, if you need to push immediate updates—for example, when you've added new product documentation or updated pricing—you can trigger a refresh using two available actions (including removing files):
Resync Knowledge Base
Resync Knowledge Base Entry
The Resync Knowledge Base action updates your entire knowledge base, while the Resync Knowledge Base Entry action lets you refresh specific entries. Add these actions to your Lindy whenever you need real-time updates between automatic syncs. However, as you can see in my other thread, the syncing is not actually working as expected for a large (100+) collection of Google Drive files.
So far no. The syncing is just too dang unreliable. Also 501 Errors with Google Drive files/folders that are Shared. Very buggy.
