I feel really stupid asking this: I’m trying to figure out how I can funnel all of my contacts that I acquire every day into Lindy to either take action or remind me to take action. Do I have to setup a workflow? Do I have to write the texts or emails I want to send? I’m trying to get a sense of how Lindy is different/less work than using Go High Level which I use for my CRM/marketing workflow. I know it’s not exactly the same. I’m trying to make my Swiss cheese/ADHD brain stop forgetting to follow up with people. I appreciate any wisdom and help. I feel so lost yet, I know that AI has so much horsepower for helping me work more efficiently as a solopreneur. Thanks in advance for your kindness.
hey anne! i totally get that feeling 😳 - the new lindy assistant is pretty cool, you can instruct it to send you text messages or emails to remind you of whatever you need. that’s probably the easiest, most direct way to start setting up - chat with your new assistant and tell it what you want. if you were to hire a va tomorrow, what would you give it access to and what instructions would you tell them so they knew how to assist you throughout your day? whenever i am going to start building a workflow or agent, i start with a chatgpt or claude convo and then map out the flow + tools + prompts i’ll need to plug into the flow itself. if you sent this exact message to one of those chats, i bet it could teach you + guide you through what you need! i use an ai browser (dia) and open up a chat in the side panel that walks me through building agents sometimes too. lindy has the ability to peep into your mailbox, read your calendar, explore your contact lists + write messages or make phone calls on your behalf. if you have the info in ghl already, you can hook that up to lindy so it can search the crm and record data there for you (i believe). you can choose to pre write the texts/emails or you can write guidelines that tell the agent how to speak and what to say. every workflow has an option to let the ai agent decide, too. this is a ramble, but i would join one of the lindy sessions they host and/or check out the lindy quickstart https://docs.lindy.ai/start-here/quickstart bc i found it genuinely helpful.
Kourtney G. Thank you soooo much! So helpful. I asked about a tutorial so instead I’ll look for one of those sessions. You weren’t rambling. Very detailed info much appreciated. I’m pretty good a self-learning but, this isn’t as intuitive as other apps. I’m still trying to figure out the breadth of AI. I’ve got the writing part down and I’ve used a great laundry GPT, ask Gemini a million questions. Still figuring out the vast AI universe. Your help is invaluable1🎉
no prob! the best way to learn is jump in, promise
