Troubleshooting AI Agent Email Responses for Meeting Scheduling

·
·

I want to use an AI Agent that can converse with a lead via email until a meeting date/time is confirmed. I want the agent to reply back and forth with the lead to find a suitable time, so I've added the 'send email' skill, and the agent will observe and monitor for replies, but then reply in a fresh new email (opposed to replying in the chain). But it will add "Re: " to the subject line (despite it not being a reply in the email thread). Am i doing something wrong? I see that when I add the 'send email' action in a lindy, i can then add the 'send reply' action, where it will reply within the same email thread, but i cant find a way to add this capability to an AI Agent

Have you tried our Meeting Scheduler Template? Maybe not the exact use case you are looking for but will probably give you some answers 😄 Also— I’d try to avoid doing this with an agent if possible and use action steps + conditions when possible to avoid the agent messing around 😄 Solvable through good prompting though

Also —happy to look into this. Feel free to share a task url! How to share your Lindy task URL: 1. Click your Lindy agent → click “tasks” 2. Find the task you need help with 3. Click the specific task (you should see the full execution) 4. Copy that page URL from your browser 5. Paste the URL in your support request Note: The URL should include “conversationID” followed by a number 💡 Screenshots are also helpful!

Oh true! I should check out more of the templates even if just for inspiration / best practises. good tip! But yes, I find there's a little more control when you specify each of the steps, and the ability to still use prompts within action steps is usually a perfectly suitable workaround. I think i just idolise the idea of running everything into an AI agent bubble and letting it handle everything 😅 I setup 2x lindy's though, one where I could get it to reply within the email chain (1), and the other where I couldn't get it to reply in the email chain and it'd start a fresh new email with "Re: ..." added to the subject line (2) (1) https://chat.lindy.ai/marketplace/?templateId=67db63a5c441ee794777ac16 (2) https://chat.lindy.ai/marketplace/?templateId=67db60e4e5c7875ef20989ee

Yeah totally get that! From XP —usually works worst to put it all into one agent. Looks solid! How have the results been so far?
