hi. I really like the transparency for the credit usage and the suggestions on how to reduce them. One option is to use a cheaper model. However when i go to Settings, I can see all the different models but I don't have information on how many credits each model will use based on my specific workflow/agent. Any ideas how I can quantify that so that I have more data ob which model to choose.
Great question. Right now there isn’t a way for us to show an exact credit estimate in-product, since agent behavior varies a lot depending on workflow complexity and context. What we can share is some general guidance: for example, Gemini tends to be less expensive than GPT & Claude, however it depends on which version of the model you're using and what you're using it for. If you’re looking to optimize for cost, the best approach is usually to run a small set of the same tasks across a couple of different models and compare the cost. That will give you the most reliable signal for your specific agent. Unfortunately we can’t provide a “preview” of credit consumption up front, but there are generally cheaper models available and running a quick test is the most effective way to quantify the trade-offs.
