Improving Personalized Outreach Emails for Investor Workflows
Hi Team, I need help regarding a workflow we’re using that generates personalized outreach emails to investors based on their portfolio companies. I wanted to highlight two issues and ask for your help. Workflow Overview: The purpose of the workflow is to generate highly personalized, strategically insightful emails, not just surface-level generalizations. Here’s how the workflow is currently designed:
Inputs: A Google Spreadsheet with the investor name, portfolio company name, and portfolio company website, plus a master email template and a detailed overview of our startup.
For each row, the assistant is supposed to:
- a.
Visit the portfolio company's website.
- b.
Understand the problem the company solves, the target customer, the industry, the business model, and any notable technologies or strategies.
- c.
Thoughtfully compare that portfolio company to our startup and craft a unique, customized email.
It is expected to process every row in the spreadsheet and not stop until all outreach emails are completed.
The goal is for each email to be highly specific and insightful based on actual traits and strategic similarities.
Problems I'm Experiencing:
- 1.
Surface-Level and Generic Emails:
- 2.
Many of the emails being generated feel fairly generic or templated, without demonstrating true understanding of the portfolio companies or meaningful, strategic comparisons to our startup. They often rely on vague wording rather than specific, thoughtful insights.
- 3.
Partial Spreadsheet Processing:
- 4.
The assistant only processes the first few rows of the spreadsheet instead of completing emails for the full list. It doesn’t consistently go through all rows, even though the instruction was to process everything without stopping.
Request: Could you help me figure out:
How can we get Lindy to generate deeper, more strategic and highly personalized emails that show real understanding of the portfolio company and its relevance to our startup?
How can we ensure Lindy processes the entire spreadsheet automatically without missing or skipping any rows?
