Error with Set Variable Action in Onboarding Sequence

Ethan K. Hi Ronnie P. it looks like the issue is in this instance the slack output reference is coming from message received in trigger 1 Whereas the current task started at trigger 2 and so the output reference does not exist in that path

The parameter is defined in the Slack action though, no?

Correct - however a block has to run in order for it to generate an output reference. So that trigger DNE in tasks that start on path 2

If the slack ID is fixed you could just copy paste it in there, or switch it to prompt mode and say if it came from slack put slack ID, if it came from the message leave blank

Ah, gotcha. I was hoping to smooth out the onboarding sequence, so users would not need to define Slack channels twice.

I'll revert back to my previous onboarding pattern.

I added a conditional to check where the message originated (Slack, Lindy). Then, prompted Lindy to use the Slack Message Channel ID as the input to the Set Variable. This allows me to remove the additional Onboarding step. 🔥
