Lindy Meeting Recording Permission Denied Issue Reported

Lindy meeting recording isn't working. it says "Recording permission was denied by the meeting host." Is this a known issue? Anyone else had this problem,?

This usually means that literally the agent was not allowed to join the meeting. The host has to admit the bot to the meeting in order for him to record it 🙂

Yes. I'm getting pretty frustrated with this as well. It seems to work fine with Google Meet and Teams, but any time I try with Zoom, I get an error that Recording permission was denied by the meeting host...even though no permission request was ever received. My agent joins the meeting...and then just leaves and the message in the task is that it failed to get permission from the host.

Hm we use Zoom daily with these notetakers so there is a way 🙂 . Critical that you are the meeting host in order to see the request (just looks like a person is trying to join) + Your Zoom meetings must allow non-authenticated participants (guests) to join.

I am the host. My meetings allow non-auth'd users to join. There is some other setting in Zoom that breaks Lindy and it sure would be helpful if Lindy knew what it was.

I don't mean to be snippy...I just haven't been able to use Lindy with Zoom for a while now. I know it isn't your fault. haha

I can tell you that our employee Zoom accounts are all sub-accounts of a master account the company has. This is not an uncommon set up for corporate offices

can you pls share a task url of a meeting where lindy wasn’t able to join? I think it’s worth investigating with an engineer if there is a limitation for team accounts

How to share your Lindy task URL: 1. Click your Lindy agent → click “tasks” 2. Find the task you need help with 3. Click the specific task (you should see the full execution) 4. Copy that page URL from your browser
