Setting Up a YouTube RAG Search Tool for Your Client

I'm building a simple YouTube RAG search tool for a client to search only their own YT channel. Wondering what the most effective way would be to set up this knowledge base. Seems like the simplest is to:

Create a Google Sheet with all YT video info.
In Lindy, use "Search Knowledge Base" step with Google Drive > Google Sheet knowledge base search step.
When new videos are uploaded, use "New Video" YT trigger to keep that Google Sheet up to date.

Is there any simpler or more effective way to do this in Lindy that I'm overlooking?

Inaan D. Oh wow, thanks for pointing that out! 🙏 lindy It seems like this does exactly what I needed. Am I missing the difference between the "LLM Call" action and the "AI" action (that doesn't include the temperature parameter)?

Changing Temperature Settings in AI Models: Insights and Queries

Hi lindy, from what I can tell, it's not possible to change the temperature setting on any AI model, is that correct? From what I found in an old YouTube video (https://youtu.be/moO21gqP_WM?t=1468) Flo says everything runs at temperature 0. Is that still true? I typically use https://openrouter.ai/ for my AI steps in tools like Zapier so I can have presets (e.g., set temperature) for different models. I know that's not an existing integration, but seems like I could do the HTTP Request action. Just need to make sure there aren't any timeout issues if that webhook takes 60+ seconds to complete. Have you heard of people successfully using OpenRouter in a Lindy?

Automated Weekly Newsletter Creation with AI and Airtable Integration

Curated weekly newsletter generator. A separate Lindy collects and analyzes relevant news stories and adds them to Airtable, then once per week, this Lindy puts it all together.

On Recurring Schedule: Triggers the entire newsletter creation process automatically at a set time each week.
List Records In View: Gathers all the pre-analyzed story data collected in Airtable for that week.
Story Selector: An AI acts as an editor, selecting the top stories from the weekly collection.
Newsletter Writer: Writes the first draft of the newsletter using only the selected top stories and fills in each appropriate section.
Fact & Plagiarism Checker: Reviews the draft against the original source content to ensure factual accuracy and originality.
Final Draft: Refines the newsletter text based on the checker's feedback, creating a polished final version.
Generate HTML: Converts the final text into an HTML email format for a visual preview.
Create Gist: Publishes the HTML to a GitHub Gist to create a shareable, live preview link.
Extract Raw URL: Isolates the clean preview link from the raw data generated in the previous step.
Create Document: Generates a Google Doc containing the final, copy-and-paste-ready newsletter text.
Create Record: Archives the entire project by saving the Google Doc link, preview link, and source material into a new Airtable record.

Troubleshooting Native 'Extract Website Text' Node 404 Errors

Anyone seeing the native "Extract Website Text" node failing every time? I had a very simple workflow setup for scraping a URL submitted in Slack. Worked totally fine a couple weeks ago. Now, every single link I submit (even the same exact links that worked previously) I get a 404 error. Can't find any reason it suddenly started failing.
