Hello Lindy Team, I have a "Draft or sent a reply to an email" action which should conditionally add a colleague of mine (named Khairi) on Cc. This however, seems to not work (i.e. even when Lindy mentions my colleague in the email draft, he is not added on Cc). I also specified this behavior in the overall settings (see "Context") and tried "Auto" for the Cc field (see screenshot 2) but it didn't help. How can I make this work reliably? Does it depend on the AI model I chose or on the way I set it up?
Amazing to hear. Please let me know if anything else pops up!
This seems to have fixed it! Thanks for your help!
Hey Vincenz -- Apologies about the delay! Hmmm, the difference between these first two emails (B -- email 1, email 2) and these second two (A -- email 1, email 2) Is that they didn't go down the same path. I've created a diagram showing what paths they went down. You only mentioning ccing Khairi in the highilighted 'Respond' action. Let me know if that makes sense!
Ah, interesting -- Are you able to send me an example where it has worked? I have the two examples of it not working above 🙏
Hey Vincenz! I see -- Unfortunately, when wanting to include a cc, the referenced user has to be included in the previous email for them to be included. If the email is already drafted from Lindy, Lindy doesn't make any updates. Let me know if that makes sense or I'm I'm misunderstanding Thanks!
(Note: Afterwards, I manually added Khairi on Cc and sent the draft, since urgent)
Just to confirm, the first email being sent in the steps needs to reference Khairi for them to be cc’d automatically in the reply a few steps down.
Not quite. Whenever Khairi is mentioned, he should be Cc’d, regardless previous emails. I’ll share recent examples once I have!
Thanks Vincenz! I'm not able to reproduce this issue - When I take the same steps, I am getting the correct cc included. Do you mind sending me a specific task URL for an email that was received that mentions Khairi? Just to confirm, the first email being sent in the steps needs to reference Khairi for them to be cc'd automatically in the reply a few steps down. Is that how you understood it?
