Concern Over Automatic Model Changes Leading to High Token Usage

Is there a setting option to not autochange my model selection in tools. I just burned through a TON of credits, was curious why, and saw I was defaulted to Sonnet 4.5. Same flows are now MUCH more token intensive . Anyone else??

You can also update the default model in the agent's settings! 🙏

Ah, yeah -- It looks like the defaults were updated. 😕 Unfortunately the only way around this is to manually revert back to the previous version in your Lindies

Example my meeting recording flow went from 58, 62, 63 credits a run, to 153, and 159

it appears to be across any step, if I used balanced for an agent, creating a doc, search, etc

I suspect if I had not used the "balanced" option, and have claude sonnet 4 directly picked, it would have stayed the same? but just speculation

Steps that were using gemini flash 2.0 didn;t move

It looks like every agent I have that was using your "balanced" default was changed to the new "balanced" which ultimately upped it from Sonnet 4 (I think) to 4.5
