Hi there! I'm working on an Email Responder for a client in Outlook. In many cases, forwarding the email content and attachments is the appropriate next action step. A few questions:
Are there any plans to add a "forward email" action for Outlook anytime soon?
In the meantime, is the best proxy a "send email" using the incoming email as part of the body content?
What is the best way to include attachments from an incoming email in a following "send email" or "reply to email" action?
Thanks so much for any assistance!
Hi Travis K., Outlook's integration is less capable than Gmail - they make it a bit more tricky! If you use a Gmail we should have actions to support this As for your questions:
It is possible to emulate a forward action by using a reply to email or send email & limiting the to field with the intended recipient
See above but the reply action would be most representative as it preserves the previous message
For Outlook if the attachment is on the thread, the reply action would not remove the attachment from the thread so this is easiest!
We are unable to download or move the outlook file within Lindy, however most attachments are loaded into the Lindy's context
