Hi there, I just wanted to know what would be best practice when adding Search Knowledge Base (KB) as a skill in an Agent Step. I've been trying to make it work (including initialising the KB separately), but nothing has worked. Mind you, I am aware of incorporating the KB before or after the Agent Step (e.g. via conditions) and even calling other agents (via Send Message), but I want to avoid that since I want the agent to use the KB directly as a skill. Could you please help me out here! haha I'm losing my mind on how to make it work for this use case 🤯
in Lindy’s Agent Builder, you add a step → choose “Skill” → select Knowledge Base → then configure it (e.g., which KB to use, what query format)
I tried that but it can't initialise the source or file for the KB
When the agent uses the skill it has no reference on the source
Alon J. thanks for coming back to me on this. Yeah that makes a lot of sense - I did try initialising it before within the workflow, but as soon as it landed on Agent step it was searching an empty KB (when I did the check on the runs) 😭 Marvin A. would it be okay if we can get your thoughts here please 🙏
