Hey guys, I'd like to change the email of my account to my business email. Can anyone help me out? Thank you!
Hey Gianluca! Ahh, unfortunately we don't have a great way to do this at the moment. If your account was super new, I would suggest creating a new account. However, the best option for now I would say is to add a password within your settings, which will then allow you to change their email. Since your account is connected to your respective Google Auth, there is no way to change the email. Let me know if that helps!
Alon J. My account is definitely not new. So, you're saying there's no way to do this at all? Help me brainstorm here. What about transferring ownership? Can I create a new account with my business email, get added to the workspace and transfer the account with all the agents in it? Any workarounds like this?
That is actually one of the options, which we've done previously. 🙂 The only caveat is I don't think any Lindy Assistant memories or functionality will move over. The easiest option would be to just add a password though. If you have a password, it will allow you to change your email
Alon J. I don't use Lindy Assistant so that is not an issue. I did add a password but it will still not let me change my email.
Inside my general settings I clicked on "Change password"
In the popup I entered the details and clicked on the "Change password" button
The popup just closed and nothing seems to have happened. No confirmation message, nothing. Still won't let me change my email
Ugh, very odd. It should allow you to change your email after that. Having said that, I see that you changed the owner within your workspace and deactivated one. Were you able to successfully change emails?
Alon J. I did not. I was afraid that if I deleted the original email I was going to lose my agents. What happens to the agents if I transfer ownership and delete the original account?
