I’m in desperate need of help. I'm getting unable to cancel task on even the most basic of chats. Certain tasks wont stop spinning. I upgraded my plan as suggested, from 5000 credits to 10,000 credits and for some reason have immediately been left with less than 2000 credits. So i desperately need tpo get on with things but cant do anything! Can support please help?
Hi Michael, I'm really sorry about this. DMIng you. In the meantime, can you please share the email address associated with your account and a corresponding task URL related to the agent and I'll look into it today? Here's how you share:
1. Click your Lindy agent → click “tasks”
2. Find the task you need help with
3. Click the specific task (you should see the full execution)
4. Copy that page URL from your browser
5. Paste the URL in your support request
Note: The URL should include “task” followed by a number

I have run into this credit disappearing act too, Agent keeps looping when it gets stuck on something it cant solve. I tell it that it is looping and to stop. I did this several times and finally it does stop. I gave it instructions not to loop and stop at 50 credits on tasks and to ask for permission to continue but this does not work. I keep an eye on my credits and you can see it dropping like a rock at times. The other time I had this problem is when I apparently misconfigured instructions to eventually send out warm up emails on a new email address. It drafed 350 emails before I saw it and stopped it. Again, would be great if it followed instructions on credit caps so you can catch problems early. Engineers need to fix this and (again looping) add this safeguard option. Worst case, you do have the option to simply disable the agent.
Regarding losing agents, I have been told to be sure to deploy when it is testing right to SAVE your work.
Any updates today? I’m keen to get working on thing but not much sense if the likelihood is it will be freezing
Same issue. Agent loops endlessly and cannot stop it. Burns through all credits.
Hi Michael C., Good news: the engineering team shipped an update today that should prevent you from getting into a state where you cannot cancel the task again. The TLDR: when the machine we have running the task dies due to running out of memory, the subtask gets into a bad state where our system thinks it's running, but nothing is actually running it. so when the user stops the task, there is nothing to actually stop, so then it times out. W fixed this by making the task as cancelled if the cancel request is not acknowledged within 10 seconds, so it will go back to good state. If the freezing "scenario" happens, you should be able to cancel it immediately. Is there a specific spot that it freezes? Arvin M. & Jim M. apologies that you're running into a somewhat similar issue. Feel free to DM me and I can help you sort out any credit issues. Zooming out: the next few months of our roadmap will be focused on driving better reliability across our product, which will significantly improve the testing and agent builder processes. We've discussed things like credit limits per agent task but haven't finalized a plan for that quite yet.
