I use Claude Sonnet 4 for my agent steps, which can be expensive, but I have very very specific instructions for it. Took a lot of testing and iterating to get it to this efficiency

For these actions, it cost me about 5 credits in total.

Depends on the action, and these are all just my experience: For something simple like write an email draft based on a provided template, it uses 1-2 credits for that. Sending a slack message is .5-.7 credits Anything with the agent action can easily use up a lot of credits if it needs to think or search the web a lot.

Easily a couple hundred credits in Agent Builder just for a couple nodes to be setup

Yep! Same for me. Agent Builder used to be free, now it isn't. I may have to move away from the platform if they don't make any changes

I am burning through hundreds of credits and then the agent fails to make the requested changes. As you can see in the second screenshot, it used almost 300 credits and ended up breaking my entire Lindy, didn't add a trigger, and I had to discard the entire draft and start over

I see. Thank you. Do you know why it doesn't charge and then switches to charging mid-chat?
