Managing Knowledge Bases and Slackbot Interaction Tips

Β·
Β·

alright, a few questions that I feel like I should know the answers to... posting here to hopefully help others as well πŸ˜…

  1. 1.

    Knowledge bases:

  1. a.

Is there a way to manage KBs outside of specific agents? Or are they always particular to a certain agent?

  2. b.

Can I compile a collection of text and create a new knowledge base/add to an existing one? All I can see is the ability to add external sources... Is the workaround creating a document, adding it to a Drive, using that and then resyncing once an agent has added more to it?

  1. 2.

What are the tricks for Slackbots to dialogue back and forth? I thought I set this one up correctly, but when I replied to the Lindy "Slackbot," nothing happened... is it because I'm using a Slackbot and not doing so in a channel thread/DM? πŸ€”

this is related to a rad one Marvin A. showed off earlier in the Agent Academy (y'all should definitely try to get into the next cohort of this one)... I'm hoping to scrape a bunch of LinkedIn posts then add to a Knowledge Base to be referenced in other agents to understand my tone of voice (so my SEO-focused blog posts at least have some fun to them haha)

then I'm hoping to use Slack as my review interface, going back and forth with the agent crafting the finished piece

    Hey Rex!

    1. 1.

Hmmm - What you can do here (if i'm understanding correctly) is point the KB to a specific document, where in a separate Lindy you can continuously append that document. The KB will automatically resync, so you will have a sort of self-fulfilling KB. Is that what you mean?

    2. 2.

Yeah, you'll have to reply in the thread. Honestly the easiest way to set it up would be to have a 'send message' and 'observe thread' Slack action within an ai agent at the end of your workflow, so it's just listening for your response.

Please let me know if I'm understanding your questions correctly! πŸ™
