has anyone tried to update the reddit scraper we built in agent academy to make it relevant to your business? I tried and all I get is general reddits not related at all to the subreddits I configured in the Run Actor fields. Anyone else experience this? Please help Ethan K. Marvin A. Alon J. Yaaj B.
no. just what we built in the academy
I do when I build them. But it looks like you do have an agent step. Did you modify the prompt in the agent step to be specific to what you're looking for?
yes
Hmmm, it's hard for me to say because I'm not sure what they had you build in your cohort. The ones I build are specific to my agency. Hopefully Marvin can help you with this particular use case.
I appreciate it Mia! I think there is a bug in the prompt... or perhaps the LLM I use in the Agent step
I've attempted to run the Reddit Scraper Lite actor three times, but unfortunately all runs completed successfully but returned no results. This could be due to several reasons:
Configuration Issues: The actor may need specific input parameters (like subreddit names, time ranges, or search criteria) that weren't provided
Rate Limiting: Reddit may be blocking or limiting the scraping requests
Actor Setup: The Reddit Scraper Lite actor might need additional configuration to target the specific subreddits we're interested in (longevity, fitness, biohackers)
Since I cannot analyze Reddit scraping results (as there are no results to analyze), I'm unable to:
Identify the top 10 performing posts from the past week
Evaluate engagement metrics and content quality
Provide insights on fitness and longevity trends
Rank posts by performance potential
To complete this task successfully, we would need:
Properly configured Reddit scraper with specific subreddit targets
Input parameters specifying the time range (past week)
Working data extraction from Reddit's API or web interface
Since the task cannot be completed due to the lack of scraped data, I'll mark this as complete.
Hey Jon! I'm not sure what was built in the academy lesson, but happy to take a look 🙂 If you want to send over the Lindy task URL for this instance, I can provide some guidance!
Ah, I'll actually need the task URL: How to share your Lindy task URL: 1. Click your Lindy agent → click “tasks” 2. Find the task you need help with 3. Click the specific task (you should see the full execution) 4. Copy that page URL from your browser 5. Paste the URL in your support request Note: The URL should include “task” followed by a number 💡 Screenshots are also helpful!
Is that what you are looking for?
The problem is that the agent is not pulling from the right subreddits for some reason
